This Season, There is
A Ride for You!
The following page contains an up-to-date
listing of rides being held throughout the Midwest. (If we've
missed any, please email us at enjoybicycling@comcast.net)
Before you head out, check out some very
innovative products designed to make
your ride easier, courtesy of our site sponsors.
Featured Rides. We
invite all ride organizers to provide us with more details about
their rides. Click here for a few
rides we have more information about.
Bike Club Rides: These
rides generally have varying mileage "loops" that are great for all
levels of fitness. These rides usually utilize
rural roads or rail trails and are very inexpensive to participate
in.
Fundraising Rides:
These rides are designed to raise money for the Not-for-Profit
Organization sponsoring the ride. Hundreds of people dedicated
to a particular cause (MS, Diabetes, Lung, Heart, Cancer, Aids, etc)
volunteer their time to ensure a smooth ride for all. Other
organizations donate prizes as a reward for participants who
generate the most donations. The commitment is greater than
that of a bike club ride, but the reward is also greater!
Tours: These rides
are multi-day events that cover more ground and require amenities
like daily meals and overnight accommodations. Some are
sponsored by bike clubs, some by Not-for-Profits, and others by
private individuals.
Amateur Athletic
Events. These competitive events are for individuals
interested in bicycle racing, triathlons, duathlons, marathons, and
adventure races.
