Mikes Bike Shop is a rider-owned shop. Wayne and Matt ride regularly and take part in bicycling advocacy through the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation (CBF), the International Mountain Bike Association (IMBA), The Chicago Area Mountain Bike Riders (CAMBR), the National Bicycle Dealers Association (NBDA), and the YaYa Bike Cooperative. It is a League of Illinois Bicyclists (LIB) "smart shop", is affiliated with several local bike clubs, and works closely with programs providing bicycles to children in need.
